Rumex obtusifolius is a perennial herb native to Europe, and introduced to the Americas, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. It is usually found in fields, meadows, disturbed sites, roadsides, and shorelines. Bitter Dock flowers from June through September. It is considered an invasive species in parts of its non-native range.
